
Located on the Arabian Peninsula in Southwest Asia, this project was invested by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu of Saudi Arabia. Serving as a critical transportation link within Saudi Jazan Industrial City, the newly constructed 652.29-meter cross-sea pre-stressed bridge connects the bonded zone with an artificial island. The Group Company, acting as a specialized subcontractor, undertook the piling construction works for the entire bridge alignment.
The piling construction was executed in two phases: March 3 - June 23, 2025 (114 days), and August 10 - September 29, 2025 (50 days). Utilizing the underwater rotary drilling method with mud retaining walls, a total of 76 large-diameter bored piles, each 55 meters long, were completed. This included 28 piles with a diameter of 1.8 meters in the land section and 48 piles with a diameter of 2.0 meters in the marine section.
During construction, for the permanent marine casings at depths of 22-26 meters, the project team employed a "guide frame + frequent measurement" strategy, strictly controlling vertical deviation within 1°. The pile cages for this project utilized epoxy-coated reinforcement steel, with the heaviest single cage weighing 24 tons. Through numerical simulation and verification, the team ensured the supporting platform for the cages met load-bearing requirements and safely installed the cages using a four-point lifting technique. The works were conducted adjacent to Saudi Aramco pipelines; vibration frequency control and optimized lifting paths ensured zero-disturbance construction.
The project maintained a perfect "zero-accident" safety record throughout, fully complying with local Saudi safety production and environmental management regulations. The total construction period was 164 days, meeting the client's schedule requirements. A 100% pass rate was achieved for all quality inspections, fully adhering to international technical standards. The project's quality, safety, and progress management received consistent praise from both the main contractor and the client.
