On February 5, 2026, the 2025 annual work report meeting for the provincial major science and technology support program project, "Research and Development of Key Technologies and Equipment for Intelligent Construction of Urban Underground Utility Tunnels," was successfully held at the Group Company. Dou Zihao, First-Level Principal Staff Member from the Building Energy Efficiency and Science & Technology Division of the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, along with industry experts, attended the meeting. They listened to the report from the project's research team, jointly assessed the project's progress, and outlined the work for the next phase.
"Research and Development of Key Technologies and Equipment for Intelligent Construction of Urban Underground Utility Tunnels" is a project under the Livelihood Security and Social Safety Collaborative Innovation Special Program (Smart Cities and Historical Cultural Heritage Protection) of the "Hebei Provincial Major Science and Technology Support Program" for 2025 by the Hebei Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Led by our Group Company, the project is jointly undertaken in collaboration with Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, CCCC Highway Consultants Co., Ltd., Huaxi Construction Co., Ltd. of CCCC Second Highway Engineering Bureau, and China Xiong'an Group Infrastructure Construction Co., Ltd. It was officially launched in July 2025.
After listening to the project report and expert assessment, the leadership from the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development fully affirmed the work achievements made by the project in 2025. They required the project research team to closely focus on major innovations and breakthroughs in the intelligent construction of urban underground utility tunnels. Aligning with the project task document requirements, the team must strengthen project management, standardize fund expenditure, enhance talent cultivation, improve implementation quality and efficiency, and advance and complete all phase objectives with high quality. It was also emphasized to prioritize the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, accelerating the demonstration and application of research findings in major projects such as the Xiong'an New Area.
The successful convening of this report meeting has clarified the direction for the project's subsequent research work. The project team expressed that they will earnestly implement the meeting's requirements, continue to advance the research and development of the technological system for intelligent construction of urban underground utility tunnels, and contribute to the construction of resilient cities and the modernization of infrastructure in the province.
