On August 9, 2025, the China Electric Power Construction Association (CEPCA) issued the "Notice on Announcing the Results of the 2025 High-Quality Electric Power Project". The Baihetan Hydropower UHVDC Transmission Project, in which our Group Company participated, was honored with the 2025 China High-Quality Electric Power Project Award.
The Baihetan Hydropower UHVDC Transmission Project is a key initiative under China's "West-to-East Electricity Transmission" strategy. As an innovative project of State Grid, its core value lies in transforming Sichuan's resource advantages into economic benefits, alleviating power supply-demand imbalances in East China, while simultaneously driving economic growth in the western region and promoting green development in the Yangtze River Delta.
The State Grid Baihetan Converter Station, located in Butuo County, Liangshan, Sichuan Province, is co-located and formed by the Jianchang ±800kV Converter Station and the Jinsha River ±800kV Converter Station. It is the world's largest DC converter station. The Group Company undertook the piling construction work for both Phase I (known as the "Baihetan-Jiangsu Project") and Phase II (known as the "Baihetan-Zhejiang Project") of the Baihetan Converter Station. The project employed rotary bored piles with full casing and PHC pile foundations. Through strict process control, the final project quality passed the initial acceptance inspection entirely, achieving a 100% Class I pile ratio. This performance earned high praise from the UHV Construction Branch of State Grid Corporation of China.
Receiving this honor is not only recognition of our work but also serves as motivation for continuous improvement.
